The
Museum's Collection
See what we are currently collecting and
how to contribute
The
Collage Museum is an experiment on how to coordinate with other artists
using
the internet as the main vessel of communication and how to create an
open,
inclusionary collecting museum that educates and inspires through
example based
more on a scientific model of ‘specimen gathering’ from across the
contemporary
field without the filter or influence of galleries and collectors and
market
values. Literally anyone interested can contribute without censure. Of
course,
which works rise to the top in terms of being favored is based solely
on
the individual work and its qualities. The Museum depends completely on
the
generosity of those artists who contribute to it.
The bulk of the
museum's current collection
currently consisting of 1,000+ collages has been collected since the
year
1999 through a series of mail exchanges called the Baker's
Dozen designed by Cecil
Touchon as a mail art project and coordinated by Dale Copeland for
several of the early exchanges.
Additional works have been collected through unsolicited donations from
various artists. To participate in the baker's dozen project go

The museum is currently interested in continuing to
collect contemporary examples of collage, assemblage and construction
through donation directly from artists and those who have collected
such works and wish to donate them to the museum especially from
members of ISACA.
